Impressive, alot of familiar titles shown. What I'm hoping is that these are not direct conversions of the existing games.

This is exciting. I haven't got a chance to see the screens yet but when I do I will write back. Sounds like the PSP will have some good games.

Man forget Death Jr. it didnt look anywhere as near as good as some of those games, damn did you see the detail on that car, I think the PSP wont be long off before its kicking PC graphics :?
Impressive, alot of familiar titles shown. What I'm hoping is that these are not direct conversions of the existing games.
I get the feeling that they will for some reason. For example, Medievil. The developer of that doesn't even exist anymore, so Sony may just be porting it.

Thats a good variety of games there already it doesent seem there is going to be a lack.
Nearly every single one is from an exisiting franchise, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of new franchises they launch.
Anyone dozy enough to doubt the potential of the Sony PSP should start chomping on humble pie, after the first raft of confirmed gaming titles revealed a bounty of franchise heavyweights.
Publishers like EA, Capcom, Sega and Activision were just some of the many keen to get a slice of the new handheld, with first screens of titles like Need for Speed Underground, NFL Street and Spider-Man 2 leaking out to an enthusiastic press.
Sony also confirmed that first-party games like Gran Turismo 4, a new Ridge Racer and WipEout were in development, while Activision stated that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Underground 2 would be heading to the format in the near future.
Other titles touted included additions to the Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe series, Tiger Woods, Metal Gear Acid, Dynasty Warriors and Twisted Metal.
Check out our batch of first PSP screens on this page.

FINAL FANTASY VII
Would just like to point out that this was the Final Fantasy: Advent Children movie shown on UMD and is not a game.
Son of a bitch, near wet me knickers there... I thought it was going to be a re-release of the game. Wishful thinking... :?

WipeOut Fusion is my fav futuristic race game of all time, the previous wipe plays well on PS1 but the track arent that wide like the tracks on Fusion.
as we can see WipeOut Puse looks identical to Fusion.. it is just a must have for me.
anyway.. did you see PSP Racing? the other futuristic race game from Dutch developer. god.. that game looks so awsome!!! the tracks, the envirenment, the ships.. they all looks so fresh like we've never seen before.
PSP really kick ass indeed

There's stll something special about WipEout though, being the first game in Europe and the games that practically sold PlayStation in Europe. This'll probably be the first game I get.
There's almost a sense of pride there as well, seeing as Psygnosis was a UK-based developer.

They're called Studio Liverpool now, but they still make WipEout, Formula One and Destruction Derby.

I think its the adrenaline rush you get from Wipeout, it basically captures your mind and really makes you determined to win, its amazing.

Hi-res video compilation (http://www.gametrailers.com/gt_vault/t_psp_e3_2k4_demo.html)
Doesn't seem quite up to PS2 standards but only crap games are shown anyway.
I wasn't expecting the quality to match the PS2 punch for punch, but the quality is still good.

look at the first ps2 games, then look at that trailer of games from an emulator. they are about the same. graphics will get better as they did with ps2

I'm excited because the developers hardly had any time to prepare those games and they still turned out that nice. I think it's promising to see such nice stuff being made on such a short notice.
