Does anyone here have a turtle trap?
I have been looking for one for quite a while and i have no luck, I even tried Cabelas and they dont have any, so is there any advise how to catch turtles without a trap, i mean i know how i just want to see if anyone does it different.

I have a pond in my backyard dipshit, and I dont feel like swimming through creek water to find one. I just want some turtles in there, why? Becuase they are my favorite animals.

Yeah go to a pet store. But you shouldnt even keep one as a pet, because thats mean. I wouldnt want to live in a cage my whole life, would you?

At my pet store they cost like 30$, And they are gonna be in a Huge pond, not a cage.

Even if in a cage, they wouldn't know it, or care. Maybe you can make a net or something and put it on a pole.

Lmao, I was just talking to my brother about why my dad has a turtle trap. What a coincidence. I have no idea how it works though, my dad just says to use peanutbutter as bait.
Crazy old dad.

Well, normally turtles come to the pond alone...Snapping turtles are attracted to fish, I believe..Not that you would want them, or anything..
I used to have a turtle and he really liked grapes, if the peanutbutter thing dosnt work try grapes.

considering how much animals cost at a pet store, 30$ isnt too bad.

I cought a Snapper. It's a baby, wow is it small. I will put a pic on the forums 2morrow. I just reached in the river and cought it. The bigger ones are to fast for me to catch by hand. I tryed it like three times and then when you do get a grip of the turtle it's snapping at you. They have long necks, so yes it did get me. It hurt but I had to take the pain for being stupid.
I can understant liking pets but dude if its a baby you should put it back, i mean its a babay for crying out loud and its spereated from its environment and family.
