In addition to its PSP game lineup, the multimedia company will release Mobile Suit Gundam animation for Sony's proprietary portable media disc.
TOKYO - Bandai announced today its plans to release a line-up of movie discs for the on Universal Media Disc (UMD) format, which will run on the PSP. The first title, in the Mobile Suit Gundam series, will be released in Japan in the spring.
The line of UMD movie discs, which Bandai calls the "New Concept Movie Disc Series," will include not only video but also rough draft sketches, scripts, and producer interviews.
Aside from the movie disc, Bandai is developing the following eight games for the PSP, two of which will be released in December.
December release titles:
Eiyuu Densetsu Gagharv Trilogy: Shiroki Majo (RPG)
Lumines ("sound and light action puzzle")
Titles with no specified release period:
Soukyuu no Fafner (action)
Patlabor (tentative title) ("mini patrol")
Mobile Suit Gundam (tentative title)
Dragon Ball Z (tentative title)

Well, that's two titles so far; Gundam and Advent Children. I'm pretty sure Sony would bring in some of their properties (Sony Pic, TriStar, Columbia, and MGM). But I'm not really excite about movies on UMD. I would probably just buy a big memory stick and load some files in there (especially fan subs).
