Ridge Racer is one.. (It was my first game with PSX and PS2).

But what other..

Game should have lot english language.. So I could understand it..

Too bad that Twisted Metal and Wipeout wont wont come out when PSP comes..)

Need For Speed could be fun.. But I dont like those Japan cars too much..

So what other game than Ridge Racer should I get... Maybe Need for Speed after all.. but.. Help.. :D

picking a game is your choice first of all, and it should be based on what YOU like, other people's tastes are different.

And expecting a Japanese game to have a lot of English would be like expecting a USA game to have a lot of Japanese. Subtitles are the most you would get. Stick to Action, Driving, Golf, or Fighting, where you don't need to understand.

I have seen screenshot of Lumines and its like puzzle/music game.. But whats idea of that game? :?

I like Tetris type games a lot.. 8)

lumines is pretty weird as far as I know. I think it's about a spaceship hovering over blocks, and having to use rays of light or something to make them collapse, and...then there's some music.

Car games are easyer.. 8)

I live in Japan and really compared to the DS - the games that lauch with the PSP suck !! its a very weak line-up !!

I don't understand why they want to release the system now - I would wait until late Dec 25th or later because Japanese don't celebrate christmas, they in fact celebrate "otoshidama" - money given to children on the 1st day of the new year.

So after the 1st of Jan, Millions of children head to Toys r us or another toy chain to spend their money. On average, Children get 20,000 to 30,000 yen !! As there has been really no media campaign yet and most people watch TV around New year - Sony should wait until they have better games.

The Nintendo gameboy is king here and most kids have at least an advance. I know that the PSP is different but in Japan - kids have the money and power. Handhelds are aimed at them.

So sorry if im off target but the only good games in DEC seem to be RR and NFS. Konami's metal gear solid game is a knida of stupid card type game that is popular here. Its not like the PS2 version.

ACID is not supposed to the formula we all know and love. It is supposed to be differnent. PSP is aimed more towards mature audiences anyway. I don't even know any kiddie games are coming out besides Ape Escape. I even played Ape Escape. If your gonna say that the PSP is gonna suck the first month its out go to a DS board. We don't want to hear that kind of stuff here.

The Japanese launch is heavy on games that will appeal to the Japanese. I am pretty sure the US/EU launch will crush the titles released for the DS launch.

Those little kids will have plenty of PSPs to buy after the new year. Sony is doing the right thing to take some of the buzz out of the DS launch. :twisted:

Point taken !! I didn't intend to suggest that the DS is better than the PSP..I want the PSP to do well !!! The PSP is indeed much much better - I saw one in Yokohama (in the train station) and I was totally blown away !! but I was there for about 30 minutes and only two or three people stopped (it was about 1 O'clock) to look at it. The U.S lauch titles are pretty good but here in Japan - Sony has to beat Nintendo !

I work at an English school and most people that Ive talked to at my school (about 2,000 students aged 5 to 60) haven't even heard of the PSP. They know the DS - but PSP they say "eh, nande ???" - it means what is that ??? The only people who know about it is two Sony employees who work in Kanagawa !!!

In stores, Nintendo has big signs while sony has small ones ! bad marketing....Oh well, we'll see next year

Have you seen the PSP commercials posted here yet? They are a good first start I think. But you are correct Sony has an uphill battle as the new comer to the handheld market.

Ive seen the CM here but I haven't seen it on TV yet ! Ive seen lots of CM's about Dragonquest 8..its out on the 27th. i believe next weekend many people in Japan will be busy.
