I'd be happy with less lag it's the only problem with PS2 Online.

i want to see the virtual world like the Matrix, a natural evolution of a 2D web broswer, but into 3D web surfing.

I'd really have to see this for myself to believe it.

PS3 Online?

First, a cool name... like PS Teranetagonaciltusine

Or psXnet, you know, nice and simple

Then there'd be the issue of actually working... a 3d browser, operated with 2d simplicity. You're not gonna have to double jump to the next menu screen, but it will be operated in a 3d context (each various task would be layered underneath the main vategory) and used in such a way to make it feel as though it was a physical object as opposed to the flat 2d images we're used to

And, we can never forget performance

Of course, I imagine DSL would be much more engrained into the gamer's budget than it currently is

And, and this is just a guess from an uneducated person, since the PS3 is designed to be working as more than itself (you know, multiple processing units, the ability to utilize other PE's over high speed lines) then it would be streamlined to fit into the way data is sent over the net in multiplayer games

The entre PS3 architecture would be built around small data packets, so online play should come very naturally (again, I'm just talking out my ass, we'd need one of the geniuses here to back this up) and hopefully without any lag or the occasional hiccups

Well... that's all I've got

Although... such an open source type of programming used for PS3 would allow people to utilize 3rd party programs... imagine your PS3 being used to browse the web (with a decent picture quality, mind you) and even watch media... an optional HD (if Sony doesn't include it for some strange reason... price comes to mind) would also aid in this

Oh well, just me going off again... big dreams, and no ladder to reach them

Oh, woe is me
