This thread is a reference for those who imported the game. Those crazy enough of us that don't understand Japanese I mean. No flaming of importers of this game, just because it's a Japanese RPG... . Well my point being, that if you search the web you pretty much end up with no help, i.e. gamefaqs.com has it still listed as a "working title" (I won't comment the forums there, doesn't seem like there is a point). So I've started the game, but didn't understand what to do.

Game help:

The combat system is similar to the Grandia games. There are 3 bars that you will have to pay attention to during combat, the HP bar which represents your life, the MP bar which represents how much Mana you have that you can spend on magic spells and the last bar is the Power bar which lets you use a special attack when it's full. You fight in real-time, when you first start a battle you are given two choices, first option is "auto" which lets the AI do actions, so far I've only seen it do attack (but then again I don't have any magic). The second is manual.

It really doesn't matter what you choose, because, you can alter actions of the AI by pressing circle. You then get the combat menu up, I don't know much about this yet, but this is what I've understood so far:

First = Attack
Second = ?????
Third = ?????
Fourth = Power attack
Fifth = Items
Sixth = Run

After the combat you receive experience points (it also shows you how many point's until the next level), items and G (which probably stands for Gold and is the games currency).

Mini Guide
I'm going to make a mini guide, I have no intention of making a guide for the whole game, seeing as I will probably get stuck to often and I don't understand Japanese, I'll try to add to this guide, now and then, I'll credit anyone who contributes to hit, I also would appreciate anyone who wants to add or to continue this guide.

At the start of the game you see a dialog between "Chris" (Heroine), with her parent's. The girls parents send her out to the field to collect healing grass.

Then the screen goes over to the "Jurio" (Hero), he is talking with his parent's, they are asking him to go get, some boar meat.

The boy and the girl are set to head out on a traditional pilgrimage.
Go out of the town then head west, walk up the stairs, then head north until you see the girl with the red hair from before, you find Chris being attacked by a very large boar. she'll push you forward to engage in combat with the boar.

Tips: He is pretty easy, the fastest way to kill him would be to have fought small boars before you meet him until you have the Power bar full, then use the Power attack on the large boar it will kill him right away.

Upon saving her, the two of you return home with the boar meat.

Then you'll start to eat. Jurio asks her to have dinner with him and his family

After that you and the red haired girl are standing in front of two old people.

You'll be given to choices. I do not know what they do, so I chose the first one. After that you're free to move around.

I've started as the hero (you can't rename the hero, no idea what his name is). I've talked to most of the NPC's in the town (if not all, I'm not sure)... well I'm kind of in the blue as to what my quest is. So if any other importers could kindly explain to me what the first I'm supposed to do???

It's been a while since I played that part, so my memory is a bit fuzzy. The boy and the girl are set to head out on a traditional pilgrimage. The girls parents send her out to the field to collect healing grass. The boys parents send him out to hunt some boar meat for a big feast. The Heros name is Jurio, and the girls name is Chris. As Jurio is hunting boar, he finds Chris being attacked by a very large boar.
Upon saving her, the two of you return home with the boar meat. Jurio asks her to have dinner with him and his family, but Chris says she should spend the last night in the village together with her parents.
