What do you think?
Will SE continue along the sh*t track(FF X-2 anyone)?
Or will they take the path to glory(FF VII, VIII, XII)?
And finally, what hopes do you have for FF XIII, XIV & XV(already anounced)?

Even though X-2 wasnt as good as X or any FF for that matter imo(they should have atleast based the story on the adventures before X where you play as Braska, Jecht and Auron or maybe make the game a before and after the events of X), it did have a quicker fighting system and one that went beyond the line formation fights.
If they do decide to do remakes for VII, VIII and IX(with older looking characters, i seen some offical sketchs and it would have looked better if they just stuck wit the original design), it would be cool if they used the the CG models from the cut-screens, seeing how the PS3 should produce CG quality graphics, to produce the game. would that even be a good idea?

That would be sequels, not remakes.
Besides, thats already done, FF Advent Children(DVD, UMD), Before Crisis(Moble Phone), Crisis Core(PSP) & Dirge of Cerberus(PS2 maybe PSP), are all sequels(or prequels) to FF VII.

I hope they make it a bit more adult and by "adult" I don't just mean using characters like in FF X. Not every game has to be made for 15 year olds.

Well yeah, but you have to realize that FF has a huge fan base.
That's why FFs' main characters are usually around the age 15-18, not "kids", nor "adults" yet, but old enough for the story lines to be based around them, without leaving the younger nor the older gamers.

FFX was a really great game. It took me around between 35 to 38 hours to beat the game. I had beaten this game one year ago.

Yeah, you can "beat" it in 35-38 hours just fine, but if you would try to do all what can be done in FFX, I telling you 100 won't be enough :D . (I personally liked how much you could level up your party...well I ended up beating all the dark aeons with swords and magic! 8) ...Ah, the good ol' times :) .)

Yes, let’s see what they will improve on ps3 sequel of the game. I honestly think that there is nothing to improve much beside graphics.

True. Graphics are good for the current generatrion. But in the next...I think they'll be completely revamped to look good on the PlayStation 3. Does anyone know of any Final Fantasy titles that are slated for PS3 release?

As far as I know, amod is right here. Of course it is very likely that we will see FFXIII for the ps3 :wink: . Ther wouldn't be much point to release it for ps2, since FFXII is coming out in summer in Japan if I remember well, so it's about a year or so for it's US release and a year and a half for the PAL version to get it's release (not facts!). And by then ps3 might be already released atleast in Japan.

One thing about Square Enix and their FF: I always judge what a system can truly do with their incredible CG!! In fact 'incredible' is an understatement. I could swear they use black magic or something to make them!
So the first thing I'll be looking for in FF on PS3 is their cut scenes. It is amazing the leaps they keep taking after each installment (not counting FFX-2). FF12's CG is simply… beyond words…-breathless-!
About when it will come out; my guess is the same period FFX came out for PS2. don't expect all the big titles to start hitting PS3 as soon as it releases. We will have to wait at least 1.5 years for the real stuff to start coming, like GT, MGS, FF, etc.

Just check gametrailers.com or any PS2 site like IGN.
Personally, I don't want to watch too many trailers and demo because I don't want to ruin anything. I don't even know what the story is about in general. I haven't seen all the characters announced yet. I like to experience every thing. Be careful of spoilers when checking this kind of stuff.
