Yeah i supose we can call 15 aday alot for a new user but as long as the posts are of a decent quality it doesent matter. U Rob78 do not remember Makaveli_786 who at his peak was on 55posts a day!!!!! Probably good for the forums that he has gone as his posts were still rising daily and he was beginning to take over.

well if someone could PM matt or someone and convince them to premote it then there would be more people on there talking. i know that there must be a lot of people here how do not know about the chat room ....i mean i did'nt and i've been here like a year....so i'm sure there are others in the dark...as far as this whole chat room thing....the mods are the answer. :D 8)

Though I don't know much about IRC, I'll give it a try.
EDIT: After some searching, I came across Speedis' topic:
http://www.psinext.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3573
This has all the instructions for setting up the chat.
Here's a quick summary:
Server (US): irc.coderx.net
Server (UK): irc.speedis.org
Channel: #psp ( Command: "/join #psp" )
Register:
/msg nickserv register PASSWORD your@email.com
Identify:
/msg nickserv identify PASSWORD
By the way, just to double check, this is the chat room you're talking about, right?

I'll mention this to Andrew and/or Scott, they're the ones who would be able to put the link on the site.

That would definitely be interesting - Many other sites advertise their IRC chat room(s) and usually get a good daily turn-out. The real "computer enthusiasts" (Like my roommate.) are known to spend entire days in IRC rooms just chatting.

Hahaha, yeah, I never go to chat rooms, but I'm willing to give this one a chance. After all, I've got Trillian, which has a nice IRC feature. So, I can be in the chat room without any additional windows. (I really got into the whole "be on everything at once" thing, as you can see from my Contact Panel.)

I had some free time, so I put together this small step-by-step walkthrough for those that want to get into the chat room with Trillian. Take a look:
Creating an IRC connection.
1. Load up Trillian and open the "Preferences" window.
2. Choose "Connections," the second option on the left side of the screen.
3. Choose to "Add a new Connection" and click "IRC" in the menu that appears.

4. For the first line, "Server Alias," type in "PSINext."
5. For the next line, you have to choose your Server. If you are in the US, type in "irc.coderx.net." If you are in Europe, type in "irc.speedis.org."
6. Fill in the information in the remaining three boxes, including your "Nickname" and "Username." The names you choose will be displayed to other users, so choose wisely.
Creating an Account.

7. Click on the White Sphere icon, which represents your IRC connection(s). Click on "Show Status Window."
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/Pumster/Trillian/trill3.jpg
8. Click on the Text Box and type in "/msg nickserv register PASSWORD your@email.com." Replace "PASSWORD" with the password you want. Replace "your@email.com" with your own e-mail address. Your e-mail address must be valid so you can activate your account.
Entering the Chat Room.
Once you receive your "Activation E-Mail" and follow the instructions, you can enter the chat room. This can be done by typing in "/join #psp" in the Text Box on the "Status Window" screen. However, to automatically log into your account and even join the PSINext chat room when you start Trillian, follow these instructions.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/Pumster/Trillian/trill4.jpg
9. Click on the White Sphere icon and choose "Connection Preferences."
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/Pumster/Trillian/trill5.jpg
10. Click on the "Miscellaneous" tab at the top of the window.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/Pumster/Trillian/trill6.jpg
11. Go to the "Perform Buffer" option and type in "/msg nickserv identify PASSWORD." Replace "PASSWORD" with the password you chose earlier.
12. If you want to log into the PSINext chat room automatically, you have to type in an additional command. To do so, you must separate commands by typing in a semicolon (";") into the Text Box. Next, type in "/join #psp."
Congratulations! You can now enter the PSINext chat room!
Hahaha, as you can see, it's my first time doing something like this. Nevertheless, I think it will help out those that don't know anything about IRC chat rooms and want to participate. What do you guys think of it? :P
