View Full Version : 3GP_converter help needed
Trying to convert some Naruto eps. Using 3GP_converter and got the latest quicktime installed. But whenever I drop and drag a movie file into the program I get a can't open the file error, [Error:1]
Does ne1 have a clue what this error might be? Coz it happens with all the movie files I try, divx xvid mpeg avi...Tried that new ini file as well but with no luck

You need Quicktime installed, with the authoring selected.
I got the latest quicktime installed, but it never asked me the autorize nething. Don't see where I can change it either. Quicktime preferences doesnt let me change it...
1. Uninstall Quicktime
2. Install this http://a1540.g.akamai.net/7/1540/52/20041120/qtinstall.info.apple.com/pthalo/us/win/QuickTimeFullInstaller.exe
Bah uninstalled it and installed the new one and still same error.

I don't think 3GP supports XVID (I only convert VOB files so i don't really know)...
no that can't b it since I get the same error with every other type of file with it as well...
from a little research, it would seem Error 1 means "Unsupported Coded"
Try installing a big codec pack (e.g. Kazaa Lite Codec Pack @ http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/1094057842/3 )
and install http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/
Also install http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/
All this may be worth a shot.
:x That doesnt work either, but thanks for the suggestions. I'll just keep trying. It's not like I have a PSP already, but when I do I'd better have figured this out

I got the same problem.
I used DVDDecrypter to transform a chapter into a .VOB file.
Then I used Auto Gordian Knot to convert the .VOB file into an .AVI file.
After that I used the 3GP program, but then I get this box:
"An error has occured [error:-1]"
Damn I lost :(
I got the latest quicktime installed too.

I did what the EnGadget site told me to do for DVD Movie scenes (Freddy vs. Jason :D ) and I got a 2048 Error. Help?
Hey I grabbed Image converter 2 for the psp torrent site mentioned in some other post here and with that I was able to convert the naruto eps to mpeg4 altho the options r somewhat limit...it does the trick tho for now. Still need to figure this 3GP stuff out

Why convert the VOB file to AVI and the convert it to MP4 when you can convert the VOB file to MP4 right away with 3GP???

I just followed the guide and it said that I should convert the .VOB file to an .AVI file, but I will try to convert the .VOB file to and MP4 file then :)

It does'nt work.
That error box comes everytime I try to convert something. I ripped a chapter out of EpisodeII. But I can't convert a .VOB file OR a .AVI file into an MPEG-4 file with 3GP - ImageConverter2 won't convert it too.
Im stuck I think :?

The only thing I can think of is that you maybe missing some vitak codecs. I would re-download all mpeg-2, AVI, divx, 3ivx etc codecs just to make sure.
