I just wanted to know if you are able to change the language on the psp (kind of like the ps2) or not.

When the PSP is first switched on it asks u what language u want the system to use.

You can go back and change this setting aswell in the settings menu.

I thought with the Japanese PSP you could only pick between Japanese and English?

That is correct. When I first turned on my PSP, I got to select either "Japanese" or "English" as system language.
