Software to make multimedia functions easier.

J. River's Media Center now has support for the PSP. While several user-made software programs exist to rip, organize and convert multimedia files, it's no surprise companies are jumping on the bandwagon now.

Having already supported Apple, Creative and Rio products, adding PSP made sense. "We think that our software is a natural fit for the PSP," says Peter Sohal, VP of Marketing at J. River. "Other software packages often focus on just music or just photos, but our all-in-one solution means that PSP fans can rely on one application for organization and transfer. It's simple and fast."

At the moment, the Media Center PSP software is in beta form, and available as a free download on their website.

I'm downloading it now to check it out. It looks promising. If I can get my movies, music, and photo converted easily then its a go.

I really expected this from Sony itself, and from 3rd party as more options. We should have one program that converts anything )music, video, pics, etc) to PSP. It isn’t really a big deal.

Hmmm whatever happened to Image Converter 2...... I use that every so often, but not so much...... I haven't heard much news about it for awhile.

Yeah I'm using it now to transfer all my favorite songs from my CDs over to MP3s then transfering them to my memory stick. It works fine for me. Couldn't be more happy. :D
