View Full Version : How to make custom savedata pics

I have not seen this posted so here's how it goes

Needed:Photoshop or a picture thats a .png file and able to connect ur psp to ur pc

first you should connect ur psp to ur pc and take a copy of ur saved game (psp>savedata>uls10007001) i say to copy it in case u want to switch it back. my nfsu file look like this ULUS10007001 urs my be different now open that up in ur memory stick and delete a file called Icon0.png (may be called something else just delete the .png file) now open up photoshop and make a new file that is 144px by 80px and make the picture and save it to the name Icon0 (or whatever ur files name was) and save it as a .png file and put it in the saved game file and ur done!

and those of u who are wondering after u save again the picture remanes the same it does not replace the picture

thats cool thanks. people have known how to do that for a while, but im glad someone gave a tutorial. do you think you could we could make a database of gamesave pics so people can just download one we like and then we will have everyones creations in one archive.

just my thoughts

(edit: oh dam! hamburgler got there first! :D )

if any body had a site where i could post them then sure anyone could request what they want

(i figued someone already knew this but i was just messing around last night and found the icon file)

ok what do you have so far. we could make a new topic, putting pics under a title for each game. what do you think?

well first off i need some one that has all the games to give me the original pics so i can cut out the words or if u guys would rather have just text

btw i would proably start on them later today cuz im have a easter lunch

also works on backrounds for the saves

but i need to figure out how to make a moving icon.

i doubt u could make an animation unless someone figued out what file type the umd uses

you could host on a free site. Tripod.com is good. and if you do make a site for it i know a site you can host ggood forums at for free so people could post their own stuff and if you like it you can add it to the site or somthing. tell me if you want the link to the site :wink:

Anyone tried putting any other media in the SAVEDATA folder?
Twisted metal changes the background and loops a song(when the image is selected)....

It would be pretty cool if you could add all the extra goodies in! :o
