my ipod had a l-i battery and that lasted about a year...but i think that was in part my fualt.......
the main rule for l-i bats is to keep em charged...there is no memory but it's never good to let it discharge fully
also try to stay away from prolonged periods of having the psp running while it is connected to the charger....if it gets to be something stupid like 10 hours it can harm your abttery

I very much doubt that the battery is charged while you have the unit plugged in all the time. It should just shut off once battery is charged at 100%. Any other way and I would imagine it to be unsafe. I'm no expect on how such battery technology works though.

thats not what i said....yes the charger does shut off.......what i said is don't do something like watch movies for 10 hours with the charger on.......turn the psp off and then charge....or if you are playing or watching movies....try not to do it for extreme periods of time...it's unlikely that most people will do it but for my ipod thats exactly what happened i ACCIDENTALLY didn't turn it off while it was charging and it palyed for something like 10 hours and the battery life was cut down to half
