If its true that games next generation may cost $10 more than usually, then I don't have a problem paying $40 for a handheld game (especially since I play PC games mostly which arn't being effected as much).

Seriously, I think there a tad bit overpriced. (but maybe thats because I dont have a game yet  )
Damn it, I hope some one can get emulation running and fast.

I don't really think so, but that is just from my point of view in .jp where PSP games are around half to 2/3 the price of a new PS2 game (which are ridiculously expensive anyways). I guess I'm just used to the Japanese market gouging the consumer.

If they made them cheaper sony wouldnt be able to sell them, theyre already making a loss on the PSP :(

I definately agree. Look at the DS prices, most of their premium games are about thirty five fourty dollars even. Then jump up to the game quality of the PSP and the money that Sony is losing on the PSP and money has to be made or elso you go bankrupt or its not worth doing. One thing I do think is that games should go for fourty not fifty dollars. Fifty I think is too expensive, but thank goodness that Wipeout was only fourty.

I think a reasonsble price for games would be 35 bucks, after taxes. Sony can make their profit the way wal-mart does, that is by the mass volume they sell, as a result of very low prices.

I think the games are a tad bit expensive, and yes, it is true that Sony has to make up for their deficit with the hardware from the games. The fact is, it only takes them, at most, 3 dollars to make the UMD discs, so right there there making a rediculous profit percentage. I think that the most for a UMD game should be $40, because they are also making a huge profit from people purchasing larger Memory Sticks too.

Actually SanDisk is making profits for most of the memory sticks. Sony only makes a profit if the (Not Pricegrabber.Com checking) customer buys one of their more expensive memory sticks.

Then add in publisher's cut, developer's cut, distributor's cut, and finally the retail store's cut. Sony isn't the only one making all the money here.
