Okay so, Pirates > Ninjas?

Personally, I think Pirates are way better. Guns outclass swords any day, they have distance and power, and swords just suck. NO you CAN'T deflect bullets with swords, don't try to fool yourself. Pirates are so much better.

You have to take into consideration the fact that ninjas are stealthy and cunning, even if they do have a guns, in order for them to take out someone they would have to see them. So, it all depends on where the fight is to take place. Also pirates just arent as cool as ninjas, they're mostly drunk and sex deprived.

But a real fight would be a Pirate vs a Cowboy :D or... a Knight vs a Samurai.:D

Actually the guns that pirates used was very inaccurate, and was used as a secondary weapon. The range on the gun could only be effective at about 2 yards. Plus ninjas are better trained, and use shurikens.

LOL, I've got to go with Ninjas as well. Not that pirates aren't cool in their own way (at least as romantasized in modern media).

It's true though, a good archer, and in the ninjas case, individual with skill in thrown weapons (though much shorter range there), was superior to someone like a musketeer - let alone a handgun - for hundreds of years after the advent of firearms. It's only in the last century and a half that guns have really gotten accurate.

Close quarter Combat: Ninja pwns, hands down
Medium range combat: Err... If the musket was pre-loaded, than the pirate may have a chance of hitting the Ninja before the Ninja could get close.
Long range: Shurikens pwns muskets at long range. Don't even mention arrows (despite modern movies/games depicting ninjas, they DO use bow & arrows).

One could argue because pirates have cannons they could sink the Ninjas boat before they had a chance to attack.

That said Ninjas are way better than pirates in my opinion, Ninjas are a lot more stylish and mysterious than pirates

Plus ninjas remind me of monkeys who just attack anything they want.
