Electronic Arts today spoke up with some info about the title and concept behind the next installment in the Burnout franchise.
The title of the next Burnout game will be (cue dramatic drum roll) Burnout Revenge.
The underlying premise behind this new game is "road rage," thus the Revenge subtitle. The majority of environments will be city streets and highways packed with cars during rush hour. Players will earn points for getting through the city in one piece, and also for causing spectacular wrecks and getting even with drivers that get in their way.
Burnout Revenge will be released this fall for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles, with a later-planned release of the game on the Xbox 2.
