Why does Nintendo launches when Sony launches??

What is Nintendo doing? launching there console when the market leader launches. Nintendo must be really confident that their console is better or else i dont see any reason why they would launch at the same time.

Several reasons actually.



1. Launch too late and we get this gen all over again.


2. Launch too early and the technology won't be good enough.


3. Launch with Sony and you steal some of their thunder. Especially if the product is good.

hmm - i dunno - all the xbox owners in my school are fan boys and know completely 0 about PS3. It's this attitude that will push Xbox 2 ahead in the start.
But if the PS3 does smoke the Xbox 2 i can see developers and Gamers changing for PS3
