I can see it now, GT5, MGS4, EA 2006/7/8/9 franchises that have been going for years will all make an appearance on the 360 and PS3 but will the graphics be the only thing improved upon ???
Look at GT1 and 2 on the PS1, then look at the seemingly massive difference to GT3. The graphics were obviously improved but the AI stayed very much the same. MGS, another example, sure M2 improved the AI slightly, but hardly an 'emotion' was in sight. I expected to be half guessing whether I was playing against against AI or a real person.
My point is, I hope the nxt gen of games are not just cosmetically better with tweaks to AI , but a real revolution. With the PS3 reputedly powerful enough to be classed a supercomputer will developers spend the time on real life physics engines, or just be out for a quick buck making pretty but 'dumb' games which IMO the PS2 saga has been.............

Trust me. If you stay up on your gaming news you should know that one- GT5 is a Sony first party game, meaning that its published by Sony and will only be on a Playstation system. Two- The developers of Gran Turismo have stated that they want to focus on more realsim in the game. They call it the "human factor" I think. In other words the cars will have damage the crowds will be much more realistic, and i'm sure they'll have some sort of in-cars view, added on to the unbeleivable graphics. That really should give the series a fresh feel. three- MGS wont be directed by Kojima this time and Konami has stated that the new Metal Gear will have a "no where to run, no where to hide" theme. I'm guessing that this means the game might be more action oriented. This would certainly give it a fresh feel. So most of you fears are unfounded. 8)

I just want new games, not sequels, tired of sequels, even though they are good, id like new games, new titles. If they wanna change the whole theme of MGS4, why not just change the charachter/setting, story, and make it a new game, like "The gun of babyloon" or somethin...

tired of sequels really, ps2 lives of them. (God of War is good)

As far as I knew Damage doesn't exist within GTx because manufacturers threatened to retract all their licenses.

Why? because the damage would be too real, the crashes would be too real and a bad image might be cast upon the strengths and weaknesses of the car...and it might encourage dangerous driving as the limits of the car will be found.

That 's the problem , the video game market is going down years by years because of the running to technology .
like in the 80 's .
many console game died .

the thing i d like to see is the " well-said 3D holographic interface speculated by sony last year, an interface similar to what we could see in minority report" .
and also the precursor of the eye toy technologie .
