Ok so Xbox 360 will have a live mandate which could probably mean good and bad things for ps3 and revolutions online support.
Since developers keep games generally the same feature wise, so i really don't think this alone will make xbox 360 stand out.
Ok, so take a game like Spider-man 3 which will undoubtly launch to all next gen systems along side the movie. Besides extra content what can you do? I think because of the microsofts mandate will be seeing alot of unpolished multiplayer features maybe thats just me though.

Interesting observation.
If a Xbox 360 game happens to be multiplatform, expect the others to have the online feture too.

This is exactly the point I was thinking, most games simply don't need an online aspect to them, at all. Infact the vast majority of games I buy are entirely for the single player experience which really don't need an online feature, although that may change now as i've recently got broadband. But lets take fps's for instance, how fun do online 'arenas' last? Not long for me, about a day max, then they just get tediously repetative. Also some games really, and i mean really don't need anything to do with live and the idea each game should include stuff like 'microtransactions' is laughable, paying for what you'd normally get unlocked with some cheat. I really don't see the microtransactions thing taking off at all, to me that kind of stuff should be free.

When Microsoft says "Xbox Live aware" they basically mean you can connect to Xbox Live to see if your friends are online and such... not every game will have online play, it will just allow connection to Xbox live.

Ok, well thats better then I guess, not that I think any devs should be forced to do anything, I'm sure they know best what to include and what not to within their games.

agreed, it would be hard for devs to create an online aspect of certain games

It also means that multiple users on a single Xbox can have multiple separate profiles, and the games have to be aware of active Live profiles and so on. All that stuff constantly eats up the lower 32 MB of RAM in a reserved memory space, so there's an awareness factor there, too.
