Analysts expect Xbox 360 market share to beat PS3's

Analysts at Jupiter research is claiming that Xbox 360 will have 6% more market share than Sony’s PS3 by 2010. Analysts expect PS3 to have 32% market share while Xbox 360 has 38%, but is this plausible? Especially at this point, when no factual information is known about the PS3? Call it a hunch, but I think these so-called “analysts” are probably sitting on their butts at their HQ without doing much research. Sure, the Xbox 360 is impressive, but on the same token, how do they know it’ll be impressive enough to topple Sony’s top selling franchise? Lots of question marks, and lots of question. Hopefully this coming E3 will dispel some of that questioning.

All I can say is, at this point, take everything with a grain of salt. Oh, and sit back, relax, and enjoy the show (being E3).

Microsoft is aiming for 25% market share, and I read somehwere that Sony would stay in control(it was the first analyst prediction for the consoles)
MS expects to take about 10% from Ninty and 5% from SONY, they currently only have about 10-15%.

I don't think SONY will fall under the 50% spot this gen, it is after this gen that will decide......IMO

I predict Xbox will indeed steal quite a lot of market share from sony with xbox360 but not surpass them. And only in America. I doubt they are gonna have much impact in rest of the world tho.

I saw the PS3 first-hand, and the only thing Microsoft is going to win ith the Xbox 360 is an ugly contest. Halo 3 won't stop Sony, and neither ill know-nothing analysts. Let them predict all they want. :wink:
