I HATE FFXI! :? :x ugh...after you realize how big the in-game world is and run around it for awhile, chatting, slaying beasts....it dies fast and you realize you wasted a fat chunk of your life and will NOT be getting it back.

This was a day in the works since the PSTwo didnt support an HDD. It basically pissed Square off to the point that they had to resort to this sorta thing.

Honestly I'm not surprised this happened in fact I'm more surprised that FFXI wasnt ported over to the XBox sooner considering the release on PC, it makes perfect sense.

Oh FFXI, I remember you. My credit card expired and it took me 3 months to get a new one. When I wanted to play again, Square-Enix decided that my copy was unworthy and terminated your activation key saying that I had cancelled my account when really all I did was not pay you for 3 months. They then had the nerve to tell me I had to buy another copy of you to play and that I still owed them the $12.95 payment even they wouldn't let me play on you. I then switched to World of Warcraft and City of Heroes and haven't been dissapointed yet.

Yup, that's about right. Never have I played a more repetitive game... ever. My friend was thoroughly beat for talking me out of a PSP to get FFXI.
And I don't understand why it is going to Xbox so long after the initial release... does this not make sense to anyone else?

According to sources, they're re-making it for the Xbox 360, not the current gen Xbox.
Which sources? The Internet 8) (Which translate into: I lost the source ).

Yes, it is for the 360. Also, they are updating the graphics so it looks better than on the PC. As previously stated, however, FFXI is not a big deal since it completely deviates from the main line of Final Fantasy's. It's much like Crystal Chronicles in that it's a different type of game that isn't as popular as their true RPG games.
Ugh, this isn't news to me unless they're getting a "proper" Final Fantasy game.

They've said already the graphics aren't being updated.
FFXI is online only though isn't it?

Yes, it's online only. You also have to pay a fee to play online... I wonder how this is going to work... Pay for Live AND FFXI?

Yea, and aren't they combining all three games so they all play in the same universe? How could it be that things would look different for 360 users than they would for PC and PS2 users? Or am I just interpretting this "improving the graphics" thing wrong?
