PS3 for £250?
With all that (promised) horsepower sitting under the hood, £250 seems like a real bargain.
Reports from Japan suggest that PlayStation 3 will sell in Japan for less than 50,000 Yen each. That's got some US games sites up in arms as it converts to $465 - a huge figure. However there's no point getting scared right now, 50,000 Yen is actually around £250 and we've paid a lot more for PlayStation 2 and Xbox at launch than that.
Of course that's assuming that Sony's projected price for the console actually bears some resemblance to what UK gamers will actually have to pay. Certainly UK gamers are often short changed by dollar values being converted to pounds by just changing the sign at the beginning rather than being based on the exchange rate.
