So I was trying to dig up some info on Talkman for my buddy and came across THIS (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?section_name=new&aid=3776) interesting piece of info:
"The firm demonstrated a piece of software called Talkman, which utilizes the built-in microphone port of the PSP and allows users to speak into the device in one language and have what they said translated into another, spoken, language.
Now are these guys high on crack or did Sony slip one by us!

Just wanted to share.

Bottom Left. It has a second plug for input, ie: remotes or recorder.

That would have to be some fancy software to translate speech in to another language. Language recoginition software can barley achieve that, at least from what I have checked. But if its true all power to it.

But the article says BUILT IN MIC.....is that a misprint, an ignorant reporter, or truth? :?

Anywho, I will be doing a lot of traveling the next couple years, and this thing is going to save my ass(especially in Japan!)
I can't wait until its released......my lingual knowledge will extend beyond English and a few computer languages.
There are a couple videos of a demo floating around
(ign, gamespot, etc. etc.) - just google "talkman"
