Grand Theft Auto 4 image?

Rumours on the Internet are going bezerk for a supposively leaked image of Grand Theft Auto 4.

Leaked information of the game suggests that the play area is six time as big as the one found in San Andreas (in other words, incredibly, massively gigantic), animals will make their debut in the game and cars need actual gas to ride. Also, a rumoured 350 cars will be implented in the game.

What we would like to see is your own character creation. This was already very well done in San Andreas, but we would like to see it go even further. Hey, and what about playing as a woman?

I've seen that picture before GT4 was ever announced. It's not GT4. I believe it was used for San Andreas when it was first announced for the PS2.

since Domination and Viper say this was seen before the last GTA game came out, and the link says that they do not know on which system GTA4 will be on, I take this pic as false.

now, I expect Sony will use these heavy weight names to boost PS3 hype especially that PS3 will be around 6 months after X2's release. these names include GTA, MGS, Killzone, and many many others. this may be 'the' wining factor for PS3. even if it was the weakest system, its franchises are too strong to be ignored.

and dare I add God of War 2?! :shock:

That screenshot looks alot like a map being made for unreal tournament 2004, called DM-Nightlife This is the thread about it. They looks rather similar, to me at least

thats not the next gen GTA, how do i know? because i was the one to introduce that picture when we were discussing CG images for the PS3 in one of the graphical threads, if i knew where that pic was, i'd show you a higher resolution of it, but i dont have it.

You know, there's needs to be a point in the series where they need to stop adding more realism, or else gta might end up being an expansion pack to the sims 5 :P
