I think the next Evolution Studios' game deserves his own thread. With Killzone and Heavenly Sword, It was one of the most impressive demo at E3.

However, some of you stated or suggested that It was possibly the game as we perhaps will play on our TV. I mean, It seems too nice, too beautiful....

I would like to discuss about this here because It really deserves his thread.

Btw for those who doesn't know Evolution Studios, they are mostly the creators of WRC series, one of the most impressive franchise on PS2. I don't if these games came on the US market but really and technically, they're really top-notch. ;)

There's section of the Motorstorm trailer that shows the back of one of the vehicles swerving through the mud. That view is point-for-point the same view we'd get if we were actually playing the game. It was still doing the great mud splatter effect, the vehicle was messed up, etc.. but that shot looked very feasible.

Just check out the video and it's 40 seconds into the trailer.

I loved the trailer, and I will love the game. But I'm not expecting the final build to be anywhere close to the trailer. (At launch)

I think the reason why I'm so interested in this game is that it looks to be Burnout 3 meets Smuggler's Run and those are 2 of my favourite PS2 games for their times respectively. It should make a great PS3 title I will most likely end up buying it.

In the direct feed version (no CAM) there was a interesting BUG. The screen was split in two parts not synchronized. Like two GPU working together in SLI. This would be the proof than the video was realtime?

And here I thought it was a problem with the video file I had gotten. This could very well prove it, I mean how well could SLI and Cell work together anyways? On a PC game that has specific drivers for SLI I wouldn't expect this sort of error but this is a special case seeing as how it's a dev kit that includes a non x86 processor and some other interesting factors.

Those graphics seemed a bit insane to me to be real-time though..for the dev kits at hand, I don't doubt that the PS3 can pull this graphics off.

i noticed the wheels on the buggy like car in motorstorm had the exact same details of the buggy in the killzone trailer i would show you pictures but i dont have them. its just something ive been nitpicking about

this game looks extremely hot to me. I was dreaming about motostorm 2 on psp2, with the mobile cell chip. omg omg. maybe even better than the motostorm e3 preview. <3 dirt bike games, looking forward to the first game ever with realistic mud effects, etc. Forgetting even the hot graphics, the physics in this one promises to make my top ten most interested lists.

there was a thread about MotorStorm, but it seems it was lost after the merger. oh well.

about this game; MotorStorm and F1 are the two most impressive game trailers I saw- along with Killzone of course.

i want this game so badly

what i didn't get though was how the camera was realy realy shaky in the game, although this may simulate head movement it may prove to make it very hard to play

Yeah, those 40 seconds really looked like it was actually real gameplay.

I really hope to see this game with this grafics on the PS3 (as a launch titel :drunk: )

I was also very impressed by the cockbitview of the game, but I don't think we will see this in the game because the mudsplats and the broken glasses would be too good to be true.

in this shot, notice the very apparent presence of aliasing on the yellow truck? also the purple vehicle in the back middle area, it has apparent aliasing on the roof top as well. this is most likely done in realtime, cgi doesnt hav this obvious level of aliasing. i think this is most likely the same case as killzone demo, it's done in engine but sped up for the show, so i would guess 5-10 fps for the alpha dev kit and hopefully they'll push it t0 30-60fps for final.

whoa, i see those crazy jaggies, that for a weird reason, i've grown use to with the PS2 and it's forgotten AA which i missed at first but then forgot all about. But i expect this game to look awesome when it's released full blown AA and all the wonderful tricks, i can't wait.
