Hi all i was at the store to day.
I saw the new OSM.
It all about the PS3.
does any body have this yet.
and is it worth geting??
thanks
if it is a 'Sony' magazine, then I prsume it covers everything Sony. PS3 is a hot topic so it may be on the cover and so you may have misaken it for a PS3 mag. it is toooo early for a PS3 mag. my guess it is one of those tech/gadget/ electronics mags.

Yeah, i had never heard of a OSM, and it cant be a PS3 mag, cmon, tehre isnt even a official PSP mag out there yet, much less a official PS3 mag(although I hope somaday there will be one)
I think I have some scans from the magazine, it just shows shots of the videos shown and explains all the things the PS3 has. And also goes through the eject button and etc.

you know, Famitsu has a monthly PSP mag that comes with a UMD demo! I really wish Famitsu could have been translated and published internationally. that mag is the best. there are also the only mag in Japan dedicated to Box. and that says something!

I meant in the US, i had heard of Famitsu Monthly PSP mag, but i did not know it came every month with a UMD demo, i just knew that a few had a UMD disk included. Hopefully we will see a PSP and PS3 mag in the states..

OPM have been just that, the Official "PlayStation" Magazine. It was the official mag for the original PS, it is the official mag for PS2 (they were covering both system till PS1 scene died out), and PS3 is still PS, so perhaps that as well (and possibly PSP). As for demo disk? If I could remember correctly, the first PS2 DVD demo for OPM came out a few months after PS2's release and they weren't even doing it every month because the PS1 scene is still alive (PS2 on a month, PS1 the month after, and so on). And I foresee a similar transition from PS2 to PS3 next year.
And if OPM becomes the official mag for PSP as well with UMD demos, they could always do "BR this month, UMD next month." Which I believe won't be a big of a deal because they could only put limited demos. I mean we do get the same demos now and then on PS2 today. Plus they could put both PSP and PS3 materials on both UMD BR as a good cross promotion of some sort.
BTW, do they still print Sony Style Magazine?

i've thought about ditching PSM and getting OPM, but it's so much more expensive...

I do aplaud PSM for getting some pretty good exclusives (ala DMC2,DMC3 etc..) but I would say OPM is a much better magazine. Both coverage wise and the fact that each issue comes with a demo disc.
The demo disc have been a bit of a slump lately but trust me, they recently announced the playable demo's for the next couple of months and they are pretty damn good. They include high profile games such as Soul Calbur 3, Sly 3, Battlefront 2, Shadow of Collosus, and lots more I forgot.
Regardless, it's the best mag on Playstation related content. They don't just focus on one platform either, they are currently doing coverage on all 4 major Playstation products (PS1,PS2,PS3,PSP).

I'm currently subscribe to OXM, OPM, EGM, and GamePro. Best part is, I got em all free (except OXM, though technically free, I have to spend $15 for a month and a half to GameFly). I was supposed to receive Xbox Nation aswell, but they discontinued it. Like to link, but they're all expired.
EDIT: I forgot, I'm also subscribe to Hardcore Gamer Mag (http://www.hardcoregamermag.com/) (also free). Their free offer is also expired, but you could still download the PDF version from their site.
