Just post here about other great, or not so great, forums you have visited or have been apart of.

Lightwave Garage 3D
www.lwg3d.com
When I first came to this place, I wasnt expecting it to be anything great, honestly. But right when I clicked the first user made image, I was amazed. The place is filled with n00bs, intermediates, and professionals alike. They are very friendly there too. You could ask the stupidest questions, and they will be like "It's cool. This is how it works. Don't be afraid to ask questions." People actually know what they are talking about there, and they are not afraid to help. I have not yet seen a negative remark. Every single piece of art I have posted has only gotten constructive criticism and good remarks, which helps at making me a better 3d artist. The site is also professionally taken care of. Although the focus is on Lightwave, you can ask questions about any other software. Plus there is the general discussion for other topics. My only real complaint is that it is not as active as I would like, but it is hard to have an active forum when everyone is busy creating a masterpiece.

N-Philes
www.n-philes.com/forums
N-Philes is what got me into forums. I got all I needed to know about video games from there. Plus they had all sorts of different topics to post your threads, from video games, to politics, to whatever. But then I got older, I got interested more into politics and religion, and then I was in for a nightmare. I highly emphasize this, no one will understand your views except for an extremely minute amount of people. Whenever we would get into religious discussions, it would turn into a big flame war within just a few posts. Same with politics. It was ridiculous. I believe the only reason i still posted there for a while was because i got into these awful discussions, and would get ticked off at people accusing me of being stupid, and reply back to them in a similar fashion. The only good thing I have to say about it is that the forums stay active... which is due to all the argueing. I do not recommend this sight unless you are a liberal extremist.

E-mpire forums(aka NintendoNow, Xbox Raw, PSINext)
forums.e-mpire.com
The first time i got banned from n-philes, a nice fellow named Eman showed me these forums. After being here for over a year, I can safely say I recommend it to any gamer. For the most part, people are friendly here. Most of the time, people will know what they are talking about when it comes to their beliefs and opinions. Occasionally, you will get a flame thread here and there, but the staff make sure to extinguish them. The forums are not that active sometimes, but has become more and more promising with an increasing amount of people signing up. Overall, the E-mpire forums are a place where you can laugh and learn all in one with a great variety of members.

Urban Planet
http://www.urbanplanet.org/forums/index.php?act=idx

This site, and its forums, are dedicated to urbanism. Forums are seperated by region with discussion regarding local construction, development and population. The people are mostly friendly, flames have been known to errupt due to extreme loyalty to theirhome towns, many are very knowedgeable and even affluent people in their respective cities...such as developers, architects, designers and others.

It's the only other forum I visit.

B-12 & Misfile Forums

I like the people there, lots of interesting things usually going on. Not to mention the chat is almost always active! I actually like this place more than here.

SomethingAwful
The biggest on line forum, and in this case, bigger IS better. The comical members and interesting posts make the forums a fun place to be. Ive never been to place like SA. Though you have to pay ten dollars, its well worth it. Or you could just be a mooch and delete your cookies when they block you, like I do. :)

Despite the forums being relatively new and small, the members that regularly post on there create some interesting topics that are both worthwhile and interesting. In addition to this, I own them ;)

They are a fun place that one could get into, but I think I like it here best, since I know most of the members now, and have been lending a hand keeping it running.

GameFaqs Forums
www.gamefaqs.com

Probably one of the most vile boards on the internet, ruled by the ruthless CJayC, full of temporary fads and little teenage boys. All of the women (if any) usually hang out at the 'Drawing and Graphic' board, famous for its LUE board and for having the most ruthless moderators around (they are the worst Jackasses), doesn't allow any cursing or pictures to be posted.

GRADE: D (I know they'd be proud of that score)

DeviantArt Forums
www.deviantart.com

An opposite board compared to GameFaqs, in the fact that it's full of women. The usual topic is Art, but the only topics that seem to be on the board are people complaining about the site, people stealing other people's work, Lesbians, Homosexuals, Suicide, Furry Fan Art, more suicide/depression, and people screaming for attention to visit their DA page.

e-mpire is my home, but here are my other two places...

Somethingawful:
Hell yeah is all I can say man. I have spent 3 days reading 1 thread of stories about one topic. You can never truly keep up with whats going on in all the forums though, thats the only real downside.

Nintendofire:
feels like my old nnet, same members good stuff.

gahhh Deviant Art....some of the biggest losers in the world. Filled with all of the people that ate alone in the empty hallways of the tech wing every day and lunch in highschool. Enjoy!
