Why would they go to Xbox and make something more kiddy. They should have made the guy like Ash with a chainsaw and a shotgun *dreamy sigh*

Well, Nintendo owns the rights to DK, but Rare can still put it on the box, nothing illegal about that.

You know Xbox fanboys will praise this game and do everything in their power to try and prove that this game is not kiddy.

Seriously though, I want this game. It's a Rare game - it can't be that bad.

No, it's even worse.

Yeah, they'll embrace it for their console but, had the same thing been released for Gamecube instead, they would flame it something fierce. I can't help but laugh at them, though. Instead of helping Xbox, Rare seems to be doing their best efforts at ripping their nuts off so that they can't reproduce and pass down new consoles. Maybe they're like some kind of a mole or something (not the animal), perhaps secretly working with Nintendo against them and deliberately sabotaging them. (Not serious, there.)

LM? Worst title Ever? Nah - it was fun while it lasted. But yeah it sucked overall.

pwned!
Anyway, for those confused, Ghoulies is about a guy named Cooper who wants to save his girlfriend, who's trapped in some big mansion. He has to go into rooms and kill all the enemies. You can throw hamburgers, sticks, everything.
Previews say the game is good fun but needs multiplayer.
Graphics seem to be a significant step below Wind Waker. The above shot is an early August shot, and look how blocky it is. Hope Rare can fix all of that in about two months.

I didn't respond because my old PC took a crap and we got a new one :)
As for compairing the graphics to Wind Waker, TWW is nothing special graphically - at all. I really don't see why anybody would rave about the graphics in the game, they're too simplistic and bland (although not as boring as the gameplay....).
As for GbtG, I really can't say that I care that much. I'm more looking forward to Kameo.

Nah, I liked Goldeneye to the point that I was unbeatable by anyone. Perfect Dark wasn't too bad either. Banjo had cool worlds and all, but I never really got into it, Donkey Kong 64 was ok, overrated but ok. Jet Force Gemini had a coolness to it (and everyone near me had the game except me). Conker WAS cool, until they made it the Bad Fur Day crap.....

Here's why :)
"this new entry in the series looks absolutely amazing. What seems like a relatively simple look on the surface is revealed to be quite complex pretty early on, as the game begins to show off some of its facial animation techniques. The game's characters are extremely expressive in their motion and appearance, and this adds emotional weight to the game's text-based story line. There are lots of great little touches to the game's look. The game's focus on wind translates into grass that blows naturally, sails that fill with wind when you've pointed them in the right direction, and swirling gusts of wind that clue you in to the wind's direction and force--something that actually factors into the gameplay on more than one occasion. Artistically, The Wind Waker is nearly unmatched, on the GameCube or on any other platform."
-Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/adventure/legendofzeldathewindwaker/review-2.html)
It is, perhaps, the most beautiful cel-shaded videogame to date, period.
The sad truth is that the mainstream audience may, with no understanding of the technology required to realize the style, shrug Wind Waker's visuals off as primitive [(In other words, children, Phanty has no idea what he's talking about)]. However, players with keen eyes and an appreciation for the art of making games will know that Nintendo has not only created a hugely stylistic world down to every last detail, but also pushed the power of GameCube to do so.
The environments, from the open sea to the dozens of islands that Link explores, are so gigantic in size that it's an achievement in of itself. But the level of clarity that blankets each locale is just amazing. The draw distance is unchallenged by any other game and as such it's possible to look literally miles into the distance with Link's telescope. Ocean waves animate onto sand, birds flock around in the distance, the leaves of palm trees blow around, particles float lazily, and all sorts of characters run about while doing their own scripted thing, all with fluid, cartoon-like motions. But that's hardly all. The models are all detailed and well textured, fitted with self-shadowing and facial animation, too. There are effects like heat-shimmering and huge particle explosions, real-time lighting, depth of field blur, reflections, transparencies, refraction and more. Everything runs fairly constant at 30 frames and the title also supports progressive scan mode. The game is just gorgeous.
-IGNcube (http://cube.ign.com/articles/390/390314p3.html)
"Graphically speaking, The Wind Waker is unlike anything else. Shigeru Miyamoto stated early on in the development cycle of the game that the end result would speak for itself -- and it does. Using "Toon Shading" to render the characters, objects, and environments, the visual style is not so much akin to the popular cel-shaded trend, but rather it's more like a living cartoon. Subtle color palettes and smooth texturing give Link and his world a truly believable fantasy setting.
So much attention has been paid to the facial and bodily animations of the inhabitants that you instantly feel absorbed into the game. There are no recorded voice tracks for the characters, but you still know exactly which emotions are running through their minds. This creates an endearing quality that I've not seen in a video game before. Even if you think you might not like the graphical style, once you've played for a while, the game's realism just takes over and you'll really appreciate what Nintendo has achieved.
Tingle Tuner time! The character design is superb; each one unique in his or her own way. The baddies have a huge overbearing presence spelling danger, whereas the gentle folk of the towns and ocean makes the setting all the more believable. It's magical to behold. Viewing the game in progressive scan mode -- you'll need an HDTV-compatible screen for this -- is a delightful bonus with the end results looking even more vibrant and alive than usual."

I wonder if this game was originally made for GCN and then translated over to Xbox because of the cel shaded graphics.

"Graphically, the game has a very colorful and clean look. The cartoon style of the game lends itself well to its theme." - GameSpot (preview)
"Screenshots seen thus far on the 'Net do not do the game justice; the characters were beautifully modelled, while the lighting was excellent. After initially being let down by the early Microsoft screening, we were taken aback by how good the game looked." - CVG (preview)
"Still, the game's vibrant and colorful graphics create a pleasant atmosphere, and the game is built on a solid foundation." - GameSpy (preview)
