Well, I know there's a leak thread, but I figured that I should make something that doesn't revolve around it being leaked. For those of you that have seen the movie, what did you think?

If anyone needs English subtitles, PM me about it and I can hook you up (cracka).

I found it to be amazing. The plot, basically, is that Cloud hasn't forgiven himself for the death of Aeris and there's some sort of cuh-cuh-cuh-crazy series of events involving Sephiroth, Lifestream, Jenova, and children infected by Jenova's cells (the infection being called Geostigma). Rufus, Marlene, and the Turks make me bleed with nostalgiac blood.

The fight scenes were incredible. Cloud went limit break on an ass, and then there was an uber-leet beach party in the Church.

Any other thoughts?

Pikmin, just try using the torrent links on mininova.org. There are so many seeders that it's likely to still download damn fast. It took me just over an hour. And moreover, the direct-download link seemed off -- it was 10 MB smaller than the file you get by torrent, so I think it was an incomplete truncated file.

On the discussion end -- This movie was everything that Spirits Within should have been. It's ACTUAL Final Fantasy. About the only thing Final Fantasy about TSW was that you had a guy named Cid. Everything about it screams out that it's worth the wait. Not just graphically and content-wise, but the fact that everybody was well animated and had more personality to them. There were so many little subtleties to every motion, but at the same time, it was clean enough that you could see that there was no unretouched mocap. A fine example of that would be Tifa's little "naughty" look she gave to Cloud at the end -- very tiny little gestures and subtle motions were there, but it just wouldn't have worked without them.

Oh yes, and of course, the action. Damn hell, that was awesome.

Damn hell, that was awesome.
I'LL SAY, I particularly like the end fight the best....I mean WOW!
They really went all out, and I walked away satisfied.
Though I am anxious to see it dubbed in Engrsih, or English; it doesn't really matter.

Even the slow parts of the movie(when there was no fighting) have you stuck to the screen watching all that insanely detailed animation.

Yeah, I'm definitely buying this when it comes out in November. I'm too much of a FF nut not to.

Now I really want the $300 special edition DVD but it probably won't come out in the US (just like Alien Quadrilogy).

AIM doesn't work for me anymore, something happened to it and it's completely on the fritz, even if I reinstall it. Is there any other means through which I can get it?

Great movie imo, everything for the fans that we expected. Of course the people who never played the game might be a little lost, but this movie isn't for them its for those of us who loved ff7. Think of this movie as total fan service.

Omg 10 times Ive watched this movie now and every single time I still enjoy it like nothing else. Lol I watched it twice in japanese and 8 times in subbed english, but I prefer that way since I think the english voice actors will suck imo (remembers Final Fantasy X and shudders)

Best part though is that they use their limitbreaks in this movie including OMNISLASH!!! :aim=-o:

Omnislash is not used in the movie. Sorry, buddy, but another (new) limit break is used.

Seen it, liked it, but that's it. Some aspects were good, some they slightly screwed up, but it was a fun movie nonetheless.

Awesome kickass movie.

For those who haven't played FF7 or don't know the story too well, you may be a bit confused (even though they vaguely explain it in the movie).

vaguely, its far from vaguely. If I saw it and didn't play the game I would be fucking lost. Hopefully they change it up for the english version

They have like a 30 second recap, but yea, you're right.
