i sent an email to GamePro (and PSM ad EGM), and I got an email saying it was chosen as GamePro's letter of the month and I won a cordless controller. check it out:
Congratulations! Your letter has been selected as the Letter of the Month. For that you win a Logitech Cordless Action Controller for the system of your choice --Xbox or PS2.
Just send us an address where we can send it to you.
Regards,
The GamePros
btw, here's my email:
I think most people would agree that innovation in gaming has been on a
decline in the last few years, but it seems like lately it's gotten much
worse. Not only are companies sticking to known formulas, but now it's
like when they find a new, hot trend, they completely abandon their
older, equally-proven forumlas. Take Need For Speed for example. After
Midnight Club and other tuner-car racers were a hit, NFS went
"Underground" and never looked back. Why can't I race Lamborghinis any
more? And why can't I race in a variety of different locales, instead of
one open-ended city? Every game is using these open-ended worlds now.
And it seems every FPS game has to have useless squad-mates. Just
because these new features are praised by critics, doesn't mean the
older mechanics should just vanish.
