I just thought it would be an interesting topic to see what systems we all own and maybe say why we picked it. I know kinda lame but hey who cares. :)

I own a Game Cube and I love it. I bought it because Nintendo is my fave and I love Mario and Zelda games.

I also own an X-Box. I traded in 3 other systems plus their games (N64, Playstation, Sega Genesis) just so I could get enough money to buy an x-box.

My fave toy is my Game Boy Advance SP. I carry it around when I go on trips or I can play it during class if I get too bored. :p My friends all laugh at me but o well. They just don't understand. :D

Gamecube - I've been a Nintendo fan for awhile and they've never let me down.

PS2 - Bought it for Vice City and picked up GTA3 and SOCOM as well.

GBA - Needed a new GB :)

Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) (My present one is the later version with the angled top wherein you insert the game vertically like with a SNES.)*

Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)*

Nintendo 64 (N64) (My present one is semi-transparent green.)*

Gamecube (GCN) (Black.)

Game Boy (GB)

Game Boy Pocket (acronym?) (Ice blue.)

Game Boy Advance (GBA) (Glacier blue.)

* This is not the first of this particular console, having had a previous unit, but having purchased another later when it came time to head out on my own, as the former units were half mine and half my brother's.

Nintendo was the first and is the only true gaming company.....and so I support them alone.
As is obvious from my list, I am the same way. I have always been a Nintendo loyalist. They provided me with nearly two decades of wonderful experiences and so I faithfully stick with them, even in the worst of times.

Well, if i am correct Nintendo first started out as a Card playing company...oh...back in the 1900's. So....but more than likely you won't believe me, heck, i barely believe it too, but it does seem logical.

Notedog
09-05-2003, 02:22 AM
no I believe u because its true but they were making card games not video games

so i see, but when Hylian-Advocate said they were the first gaming company, he is correct. Cards are a game. a.k.a. gaming, i guess we could start a debate over this...but it seems kinda...meh.

I own:
1. Sega Genesis
2. Sega Saturn
3. Sega Dreamcast
4. Xbox
5. Gamecube

I never sell any of my old systems/games...I guess you could consider me a small-time collector.

BTW, just to cause a little controversy, I submit this thought: It's true that Nintendo has existed since the 1890's as a playing card company, but that hardly counts, does it? That has nothing to do with videogames; however, one or two of you said you were basing your loyalty on Nintendo (only partially of course) because they were the first video game company. That, unless I am mistaken, is incorrect. Sega (SErvice GAmes) was making video games (arcade) for the American army in the early 1950's.

So, that just gives you something to chew on. Sorry if I'm being an ass and/or fanboy...I just couldn't resist. In any case, I have a great amount of respect for Nintendo regardless.

Are Neo Geo's being sold at all EB's, or just select ones?

I ask this, since I may be going to an EB in a week or so, and I'd like to pick up a Neo Geo.
