Atari 2600 introduced a new gaming era, which soon led to much larger things. I remember my dad sitting me on his lap and playing the 7800, me grabbing the controller from him to play Oink! I also remember getting mad at the Atari Jaguar because it was too slow then throwing it at my brother (I was 6).
So does anyone else have any Atari memories? I'm only 15 now, but I remember them clearly. :D

Oh yes, I remember Atari quite clearly. I remember the games it featured like Pacman, Pitfall, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Adventure, and many more. I also remembered how it was possible to play Atari with a Sega Genesis controller. lol

When I was little I didn't understand much.. I figured since you could play 2600 games on the 7800 then you could play 7800 games on the 2600.. And I lost my dad's 7800, so I attempted to "fix" it by replacing it with the 2600 and shoving a 7800 game inside of it.
The 2600 broke. My dad wasn't too happy, first the 7800 then the 2600. But we got them replaced and I still have 'em. :D

lol that's an interesting story. I remember when I had Atari back in the day. I dunno what happened to it. It either got sold or broke. Well, I was on Kazaa looking up stuff and I found an Atari emulator with about 800 games with it. I decided I would download it. I opened the file and it worked! About every Atari game possible was there! Well, I don't have that emulator anymore though because I had to reformat my computer. :(

I liked Adventure, Beat 'em and Eat 'em, and Custers Revenge on 2600. The first game is a precursor to the Zelda games, and the last two are porn games.

I never had an Atari or anything like that. I never even had an NES. We were kind of poor back then.

lol Custers Revenge, the game where your a cowboy that tries to do indian chicks lol.
My favorite game was War, and donky kong. Those games were lots of fun. Although my mom got rid of both my Atari 2600 and my Intellivision 3 when i was like 8 yrs old. It pisses me off. Now i have to find other ones, Im going to try and get every vinttage system, even the channel f and fairchild and things like that.
