I dig the BG, even though it isn't that special. The text is bad...it doesn't really suit the sig. Could be too blurry, could be the color...I can't put my finger on it.
Now, there isn't really much to look at in it...try adding some other things (like in mine...I have some shapes and stuff)

Not bad for a first.
