I just got through listening to new music/videos that I recently bought and I'm quite amazed by what I got. I got Katatonia's latest album Viva Emptiness (took me long enough), Death's DVD Live in L.A., and Mr. Bungles second album Disco Volante. They all are simply amazing. The Katatonia is the heaviest it's ever been and have clean vocals. The DVD is possibly the most amazing concert I've ever seen. They don't move around a lot, but they play so amazingly. I really wish that I was into Death Metal when Death was still around. Finally, the Mr. Bungle is not like anything I have ever heard before. It's filled with the usual Mr. Bungle raucous feedback noises and shouting, but has a lot more in the sense of paramusical effects and more Jazz influenced music. I'm really glad I picked up these items.

Mr. Bungle is Avant Garde right? I might pick it up. I really like Green Carnation, even though they aren't that heavy...

Mr. Bungle is sort of Avant Garde. It's sort of psychedelic metal with apparent Jazz influences, but the words are pretty much either comedy or jibberish. I've wanted to get Green Carnation's Light of Day, Day of Darkness for some time now, but I'm too lazy to order it from The End.
