I'm just wondering, did anyone ever beat this game or even play it that much? Me and my cousin have been playing it for a long time and it just seems to never end. I don't remember where we are at, but we were playing it when we had the blackout, and we lost alot of shit because we didn't save it. :arse:

Off topic: Was JSRF a remake of or a sequel to Jet Set Radio on the Dreamcast? I'm not sure.

Well as anyone who is a frequent at this forum will know that Jet Grind Radio is Asarien's top game of all time, and shall also know that he has mastered the DC version and can not score less than a Jet rating on any level anymore. He has also beaten the game literally 56 times upon purchasing it in July 2001.
With that out the way, I wish I can help. My friend has JSRF, and he gave up on it too. He said it was endless. Which is a good thing for me. I only played the demo, and am not of much help for now.

I must get it now then! I can beat JGR in 2 hours and 5 minutes straight. Longer gameplay to Tokyo-to will be marvelous.
Now I have two reasons to get an X-Box. JSRF and Knights of the Old Republic.

And what's better, JSRF comes with the Xbox for free.

i hate the Jet Set or Jet Grind games, I hate them both. I cant stand them ugh. Vertical Grinding should never be possible in any game ever. And I'm not a big fan of cel shading either.

i got it with the XBox, but I still like the controlls for the original DC version better. Quite a bit more depth in the DC game -at least in controlls-

JSRF doesn't implement the realistic physics as was in JGR. I am able to play the game in-depth now, and the graphics are much more clean and contoured in JSRF, but I still prefer the bold audacity that was featured in JGR.
The gameplay changed drastically. Which I'm not yet sure if it's a good thing for me or not. It's a HUGE game, so I'm all for that, but maybe it's too huge?
Good though, none-the-less. Perfect soundtrack.

And by perfect you mean fitting tracks that tend to get stuck in your head, and tend to annoy anyone who isn't "into" the game?

Yes! It's so true! They don't understand.

I love Jet Set Radio Future. I don't see how it was a remake of Jet Grind Radio though. Of course, I didn't play the first game, either.

It being a remake makes much more sense than it being a sequal. Now it's clear to me. I always wondered why the story was so different and why the GG's broke up to get together again in the first place.

I think it's awesome. Not the best Xbox game, but pretty close to it.

The original is the best. Asarien's #1 game of all time.

Well, I think I'm gonna pull out my Dreamcast and go buy a copy of JGR. Just to see how good it really is. In the meantime, I think I'll play Future again, since it's a good game.

I'd have to agree with you there, the game is a big dissapointment, in my opinion.
