I guess it's true.
I don't understand how weapon fighting (Arc System Works' Guilty Gear) will match up with Capcom's hand-to-hand fighting, but it sounds unbalanced.

I thought I'd mention it if HPK or any other 2d fighting fans came by.

I hear the main roster for Capcom would be Darkstalkers characters. I guess they could fit in the Guilty Gear universe.

Another bit of info:

A game called "Hyper Street Fighter 2 X" has been announced for the PlayStation 2. No actual game details are known.

It's probably that "new Street Fighter game that's not actually a new Street Fighter" game that Capcom's been hinting at for SF's 15th anniversary.
