Normally something like that would be funny, dn03, but not this time.
To all those we lost and those that were touched by the tragedy that struck the world 2 years, we at Nintendo Now give our sympathies.
And always remember that everyday our men and women (my wife included) of the Armed Forces are out there getting one back for us.
And if anyone wants to know why we went to war, appearently you missed the pictures above.

Yeah dn, that was not right.
I think 9/11 has changed everyone in some sort of way. I was in school when the attack happened. Everyone got dead silent when they saw the towers fall. Not only did the U.S. salute those who perished in the fall of the towers, but the whole world took time to salute those who died that day. It will most certaintly be a day not forgotten. If anything, this day made our country smarter and woke us up.

Uhhhhhh maybe not SMARTER....

I remember this day well. I was still asleep when the events began to unfold and still lived with my parents at that time. My mother woke me up, excited over something. When I awoke, she told me that the world trade center is up in flames and all. At that moment, I knew something serious was going on and I was immediately awake. I was fixed to the television all day that day, as I think most of adult America probably was.

what I remember more is all the afganistan and iraq death that came after.

That war was inevitable and provoked. Flying families of people into 50,000 other people in 2 skyscapers was not a provoked attack and not inevitable.
So what would you have us do...sit here and wait for the next asshole with a stick up his ass to blow something else up?

THAT ? we are to 2 right now. and it doesn't seem to want to stop seeing what's happening with korea. Bush is taking this isolated event to create some kind of anger against everyone in middle-east. and it's getting right back at us. shit is no good man. it should have become some kind of hidden "undercover" strategy to kill the Al-Quaïda (sp ?) members. like you know. but y'all can't deal with something that is not known by everybody. so y'all showed the war 24/7 in some kind of way that makes people want to support more thier troops cause everyone knows exactly what's happening there.
you're got 2 towers and 3,000 people on one side. you have thousands of death and 2 Destroyed countries on the other.
The Dude

Yeah we should have just left iraq and afgahnistan alone, so they can let dangerous terrorist groups hide there, and plot to destory america.
Damn thats a great idea
Did anyone watch the special events at ground zero today? It was hart wrenching to hear those kids read the list of the dead :(

Have you ever been to either of those countries? Have you seen how happy the people are that we came and eradicated their dictators and tyrants?
So I'll ask it this way. How many times are we supposed to sit there and let idiots in power attack our country and even their own people?
I say it was inevitable that we were to go to war with Al Quida and Iraq. Take care of the problem before it does worse.

Tom, before you say "Iraq doesn't have WMD." I've seen military pics (my wife is Air force, keep that in mind) of an air field that was completely covered over is sand....all the jets, buildings (the tower was taken down), runways......all of it as an attempt to hide it. with a country nearly the size of Texas and it's all sand and they knew the UN Inspectors were coming back..don't you think they would have hidden that shit well?
Think of it this way. If you had a knife and you weren't supposed to and your mom found out and told you that tomorrow she is gonna search your room for it, would you hide it in your room that night? Hell No. You go bury it, take it a friends house (a neighboring country) just anywhere but your bedroom where your mom is ONLY gonna look.

what the fuck you on ? I am not talking about sitting on our ass.
and either way, the iraq people are not better now that saddam is gone. most of them don't even have water right now. and all of them wars or invasions that america did in the last 20 years, let's say... none of the countries had a better life after than before the war.
Viper
09-11-2003, 05:50 PM
Those invasions were UN requested and lead. Bosnia, Somalia, ect.
Some portions of Iraq may not have running water at the moment but mny portions of Iraq never did. I don't think the poeple are worried about getting gassed to test a new illegal chemical weopon anymore.

You cannot put a price on freedom. I rather live in poverty then under a ruthless dictator. Freedom is everything.

How can you say the people are no better off?
Tom, you live in a country with no military and it's totally protected and free because of the US military. Doesn't that mean anything to you. You get to chat on these forums because you have protected liberties. Now these people will begin to get those liberties too.
If Saddam wouldnot have been the complete psychopath that he was, we would not have had to attack and lose innocent lives

I am sure most of you haven't been to New York, and seeing how big the towers were was incredible. It is hard to believe that they can be whiped out by a plane.
The building may not look THAT big in the picture, but if you saw the size of it in real life, it was jaw dropping.

It's a shame that people have to die wherever they die, especially when they haven't done anything justifying being slaughtered, either in the US or abroad. When innocense is butchered, something needs to be done about it. Basic morality demands it. When countless lives were erased two years ago and tens of thousands had their worlds directly turned upside-down, action was demanded. When a dictator and his family has spent decades torturing, raping, starving, and plundering his own people, innocense was raped and action was demanded.

Really I think 9/11 made this country stronger in a sense because we showed we can come together and work as one. I remember just watching the tv all day in shock and thinking about all the loved ones people lost in a instant. A day I hope Americans will never have to go through again......
sorry for writing that i realy do feel sad for all the families that lost loved ones

9/11 will always be in my head for the rest of my life. I remember watching it all go down in my 2nd hour computer class that one fateful day, and some kid's were like "Haha, people be blowing shit up!" and this one guy I know just snapped on them, "Shut the fuck up you litte idiots, people are dying. It's not something to laugh about." I don't remember hearing another word out of those kid's.
Did anyone do anything special in school today for it?

On a side note: "Star Wars" won't make Americans scared, it should/will make them feel safer, because we'll be able to thrash anyone who shoots any kinds of missiles at us. I don't know what you're talking about...

That pisses me off.You can blame international media for making it look like it was more unforgivable just because it was America.
It could have been Iceland and my reaction would be the same. You think no one gives a shit about Australia or any other country? It's that perception that made it seem like America cares for no one else but America. We have fought more wars for other countries in the last 100 years than all other countries combined.
It's like a damn catch-22. If we help another country, we are policing the world and sticking our noses in others business. If we don't help them, then we are non-caring assholes who don't give a shit about anyone else. If we show pride, we are arrogant, self centered fools. If we show no pride, we open the door for every idiot with a rocket launcher to shoot at something.
