Well, I think I'm giving up on FFXII

I'm excited that species different from humans were going to be in Final Fantasy XII. Otherwise, the characters look recycled from FFX and X-2. Tetsuya Nomura is doing the character designs again. I really wished Yoshitaka Amano did this one.

I know it's only a screenshot, but as far as I'm concerned, this is nothing but FFX-3 at the moment. Only time will tell.


BTW, does anyone think the main character looks like the dual keyblade wielder in the Kingdom Hearts 2 tralers. His name is Van...

I have begun to give up on Final Fantasy....*sigh*

It's quite sad I admit, I loved all of the ones that I have played which is nearly all of them...

except ten...ten was the first to disappoint me...

I've seen stuff about XI but I never played it because it was online....didn't bother

then X-2 seems disappointing as well, because...well ten was

I heard they are coming out with a movie, a sequel to VII which I will watch, but most likely it will be disappointing too...

and even though this is a Screenshot from XII...it looks like it came from X-2...or an upcoming X-3....which means...it will probably be designed after them...and therefore disappointing

dont give up on it till you play it. x wasnt pure crap, it just wasnt as good as the others (which all kicked ass). and XI is more of an "experiment" ive played it, and its not half bad. i AM waiting for this game, ill judge it when i play it

Well that is true but you have to admit...Squaresoft kind of fucked themselves over with high expectations from fans after the release of Tactics and FFVII-FFIX

so if a game is slightly disappointing, fans will begin to wonder

See, that's wrong, they need costumes that actually cover the person...

I mean they should focus more on storyline and gameplay rather than character design and how real they can make the character look.

I really don't care about graphics, they're a nice touch but not necessary in my opinion, focus more on gameplay then add the nice sprinkles for show...

Every five fucking steps there was a FMV! and that didn't stop until more than halfway through the game....

plus, the storyline was disappointing in my opinion, it was good don't get me wrong, just in comparison to others, it wasn't as good.

Meh, FF12 is suppose to take place in Ivalice (same Ivalice in FFTA), so that explains the different races..but uh...the character designs look horrible.

I think they should just end the Final Fantasy series. Honestly. They can come up with new names for each one now. Final Fantasy never was that great of a series anyway. I haven't played all of them, but I've played a portion and I can say that the series is lame. This FF isn't helping the series either, from the look of it.

I've just recently come across more pics of FFXII. It looks rather... Eh. Gay. Not saying it will be, but the one character I could have sworn was a girl, was actually a guy.

Vaan (in my attached file) and Ashe are the main characters. It reminds me a lot of how Final Fantasy X looked, which is kind of irritating, because it looks more or less like the close of X-2, as well.

This is going to be released on the PS2 in 2004 in Japan, so it'll probably be another 8-10 months after it's released there. Not sure about the story yet, seeing as the only site that's up is Japanese. Some of the screenshots and things show a few add-ons since the last, or just more detailed.

To me - It looks like the last few games that have been released. It doesn't spark anything unique to me that would make me want to pick it up. Which is slightly depressing, but nothing I can do about it.
