Questions about Xbox Live

I know you have to pay some monthly fee or somthing but I was wondering can some games for xbox live have their own montly fee like that rpg true fantasy online? I played xbl at a friends and I loved it. I'll pick up crimson skies and that return to castle wolfenstein.

Are you sure, i could have sworn I read at penny-arcade or somewhere that crimson skies has a fee after the first month or so.
