Halo 2: When will the delays end? [Archive]

That's right folks, as of today, January 13th, 2004, Halo 2 has been once again pushed back. When will it end?

I checked Gamestop.com today, and as seen here (http://gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=210263), it looks like Halo 2 has been pushed back from it's old release date of April 2004 to sometime in June 2004.

I'm honestly getting sick of all the delays.

heres the deal its probably done they are just making more copies of it... and if its not done it will be in probably a month but back to what i said its the same they did with vice city

By then, the majority of next-gen systems will be released again, and it'll be put onto the next Xbox.

A little discouraging for die-hard Halo fans but meh... Oh well. Watch it be absolutely shitty, all those people who waited for so long, I wouldn't know whether to laugh.. or laugh. Even though I did like Halo.

Most likely it will be disappointing since HALO fanatics set this impossibly high bar for the game. The game will be solid, mos def, but people will be crushed by the high bar they set.

I just thought of something. perhaps one reason Halo 2 was delayed is because they want it to ship on November 15th, 2004 (that will be the Xbox's 3rd birthday.)

Perhaps, but I think that the developers are buying more time to make sure that Halo 2 is completely flawless. Since this is the title that literally defined the Xbox, there is no way it could sell without wowing gamers for a second time.

Halo is far from boring, if you try to beat it on its higher difficulties. I just got done beating it on Heroic and I'm still having fun trying to beat Legendary.
