Ok, let me explain,
For anyone who's schools computers are linked to a network (i.e. you can access your accound form any computer there) goto the Run menu and type in "command" w/out the quotes. Next type in "net send * your message here" again, without the quotes. The message will be sent to every computer in the school, if not the entire district.

lol, well I think the poeple who setup our school network know how to identify a machine name, but I'll leave this topic up for anyone who wants to risk trying it out or has any further input.

:-/ Aside from finding out that the System32 folder was restricted to our student usernames, I found somewhat of a backdoor into the folder on a different computer, and the command file was restricted as well. $%&@#

Try Ethereal (with WinGCap). this prog detects all network activities: which kind of packet, what type (message, info, data, printing, ..), from which comp to what comp, etc., and reports them back in categories. Net send is under one, which i forgot, sorry, but play with it and you should find out which one.
Gonna have to try that little message trick next time I'm in the library
