The Sims 2 is gonna rock...seriously. Has anyone checked out the screens of the game lately? They look pretty cool, and EA is working to make sure that every element of the game is much better than it was in The Sims 1. It's too bad it got delayed, otherwise it would be hitting store shelves tomorrow. I believe the release date is now sometime in July.

Anyone else looking forward to TS2?

As great as The Sims was, and with all the fun elements with the expansion packs, I think the heat on that game is dying out. A great thing can only be great for so long.

i read about it in PC gamer, and ppl remember what happened to then and actually see stuff..

in the first sims u could have a love triangle as long as the specific 3 ppl weren't watching the intimacy....in this game, if the kid sees the mom kiss another guy while daddy is at work, the kid will tell daddy!

craziness

Expansion packs caused a case of "too much of a good thing" and that's why I stopped buying them. :-/ Maybe I'll check this one out to get a fresh start with the game.

I might just buy the game just for that.

I just recently found my Sims disc, and I play it from time to time. About a couple times a week.

Edit - I stopped with the expansions after House Party.

Asarien gave up after Vacation. Makin' MAgic looks fun though. Perhaps in another year when the entire set is in one nice collection fot $29.99 Asarien'll get it.

Yeah, that would be nice. I only have The Sims: Double Deluxe. It would be nice to have all the original expansions.

There will supposedly be expansions for The Sims 2, but what would they be like? They've used practically every idea known to man.

Nah... That's what's so great about it.

We'll see what happens. With the recent Maxis closure and TS2 being produced directly at EA now, we'll see what happens. Rumor has it that Will Wright isn't even working on TS2 now, but another secret project.

I am not surprised. He did his job and made his money, so he passed the torch on that project.

I'm pretty sure it's going to still be good; we was working on the game for most of its development.
