Hmm, I cant really reccomend much. You could check for spyware, thats a possibility. However, I really reccomend you check out mozilla firefox

Mozilla Firefox (http://texturizer.net/firefox/download.html)

it really is so muc better than IE, its not even funny. Tabs are amazingly useful.

Oh yeah tamim, I said I'd be back soon. ;)

it's the spyware dude...

Pop-up blockers only work when you're browsing the internet. What you need to do is:

1) Go get some spyware killer. I use:
- Lavasoft Ad-Aware
- Spybot

2) D/L the updates for everything.

3) Use them all to the fullest extent that you can... Wipe out as much as you can.

4) Restart the computer and do them all again... some spyware hides.

5) Get Nortons or McAfee anti-virus stuff and install it. Make it automatically update and turn everything on.

I used to have this problem, a Spyware killer does the trick for me.

Yeah, get some anti-virus software. And DON'T download it. Get your parents to buy it. Tere is almost no better protection you can get than somne decent anti-virus software.

Ah, Norton sucks though. Get Zone Alarm pro. Much better. Even the standard version is better than nothing.

Zone Labs (http://www.zonelabs.com/)

But yeah, it's spyware. If you do a lot of downloading, cut back a little bit to prevent spyware from leaking into your system. Get rid of kazzaa or whatever so you don't have to worry about it anymore. And yes, get firefox, it's friggin awesome, but they're only in the beta stage.

Yea I only recently got AdAware so ive had all of this crap building up on my computer for so long. Now I have virtually no problems. Its much smoother.

Spyware, most definately. Get Spyboy, I think it's free and it really works.

Oh, I suggest getting Safari, if you can. It's the Mac browser but it has a block popups button, it's really good. I've never got a popup...

Another option is you can log off everytime you don't want to use your computer, that way the screen will just show the login window and you won't get any popups until you log in again...

I wonder how many times we can tell a non-active member that he has spyware and that he needs Ad-Aware.

I had something similar to that. Except mine was porn and lots of it. It also was pretty annoying. One example, I was at a jewish website (don't ask) and it all popped up! I got a boner at a jewish site :(. I checked Norton and it said it was a virus. You should check your pc, it COULD be it.
