I can't reset my homepage to yahoo or anything i want. It keeps putting it as "about:blank" this is really pissing me off. If anyone knows how i can fix it, that would be great. For now im stuck using mozilla and it kinda sux becuase it does not display the site properly.

correct, IE. I can change it, but then when i close out and try to open it again it goes back to about:blank. I just searched for viruses i have none and i got rid of my spyware.
So you open up yahoo, hit "Tools>Internet Options" then hit "Use Current" and it sets it. Don't forget to hit apply and ok. Then test it by hitting the "home" button. If that doesn't work... you're screwed.
j/k... you could always try updating IE. Or just fuck it all and go with FireFox.

o wait so when u CLOSE it it messes up?
try this: set the homepage test it and stuff (only leave ONE WINDOW OPEN during this operation) and then hold control and then hit the x button to close it
if that doesnt work download something like a registry editor or be masterful and go through the reg urself

DO NOT TOUCH YOUR REGISTRY!!!
What the fuck is wrong with you bruda?!? if you had an ounce of sense you'd know nobody should be messing with their registry unless they REALLY know what they're doing.

Well since you had a lot of movies were you using a program such as Kazaa or morpheus or other programs like that? They could contain spyware which automatically changes your homepage on every boot up.

It is spyware...like many of the problems on the internet these days.
Run an updated adaware or spybot in windows safe mode and it should go back to normal.

I did i ran spybot and adware several times. I ran norton. I download stuff from suprnova.org which contains no spyware.

well there are also Hijackers who just put coding into certain websites that will automatically change your internet settings so just be wary of where you surf.
Jeez, you reinstalled Windows all for a simple IE problem? I hope it works now...:)
