in decided what you can and cant watch on television?

how do you feel about the fcc being able to regulate television after the superbowl slip-up? does it violate your bill of rights, or do they have good reason in censoring?

personally, i find it all bullshit. although the breast slip should not have been viewed by...well, everyone...it was a slip-up, and those kinds of things happen on live tv on occasion.

Yeah they dont really say what you can and can not watch, they just say this has to be edited out for obviouse reasons. So you can't show hardcore porn on tv or have a show like terrence and philip were they say fuck every other word.

I think i heard something about them kicking howard stern off the air though, if they do that, they are fucking assholes.

Isnt it true that a payed off show can show what ever they want? As long as they are paying for it?

I believe in true honesty they shouldnt be able to. I wish cable tv was completely uncensored and unedited.. It was meant to be viewed a certain way... not a chopped up way.

No, gvernment sensorship is bad. Most TV channles are owned by private companies (fox, abc, ect...) so they legally can't tell them what to show or not , unless it is vidal to national security.

They have no right to restrict speech simply because it's "offensive" or "amoral."

You cannot do that, I'm going into Broadcasting, and hopefulyl I'll get to work for a cable station because network channel have so many restrictions it's disgusting.
