Yes, it is quite an ego-boost when my 56k can load pages and games faster than those on broadband..

Screw music. I already have 8,000 songs from when I had cable (had it for 3 years, then moved to the boonies), never been caught. Download movies on my 56k overnight, considering I have my own phone line so that speed doesn't matter. After having so many mp3's you begin to get sick of downloading them.

I really don't mind my 56k connection (I don't even connection at 56k, I usually connect at 46.6k). It downloads songs, movies, games, websites everything just fine and dandy. I can play Everquest, Conquer, Black Hawk Down, Soldier of Fortune 2, anything my heart desires with little or no lag at all.

I can usually download songs within 30 minutes, movies within a couple of days, and games usually in a week. You people are all so picky. You're like all those people who buy the biggest, badest, gas-guzzling SUV you can find, just so you can have the peace of mind that if you get in a wreck, you KNOW you killed the other guy.
