Should we ban the word "Rareware"?

We should ban that word, it irritates me. I hate it. I hate it more than M$. Finally, I found something to hate more than M$. In fact, I hate is so much, I don't even hate the Xbox anymore.

Well, as a Nintendo fan, it is a big thing... Rare has stuck with Nintendo as pure partners... They have had the best relationship with nintendo and all of a sudden BOOM! This is the reason why I didn't want Microsoft to come to the gaming industry. I knew they will be able to do this. Now all of Rare's games will suck.

No, not fanboy. Rare will lose 'our' favorite licenses to certain games and characters, etc. So yes, unless they can come up with something amazing, they will suck. :D

If you think about it, yes, Brian is kinda right. They won't do very well without Star Fox, DK, Banjo, and others. Microsoft has too much money... Why don't they go ahead and buy Nintendo, Square, and every other developer!? I am not a fanboy, just kinda pissed that Rare has shot down all their former fans by throwing away Nintendo's franchise offerings.

You think about it... make a slight guess... Many Xbox owners have no idea what rareware is... They consider Mario "kiddy..." Xbox owners think of Banjo and other rare characters kiddy... They have called them kiddy over the years... So I doubt Rare will do better on M$.

Non-gamer Xbox gamers will just buy PD just because it looks nice. We will buy PD because we know who is developing the game. We know where it's coming from.

Let me ask you this, I am sure you heard of Blinx on the Xbox... If Blinx is on both systems, Xbox and GC, which platform do you think it will better on?

GC owners look for games such as Blinx and Mario while Xbox owners want "GTA" into their game. I mean, having "GTA" in a game rules, but a true game is a game like Zelda. True gamers will go ahead and buy Zelda... true gamers such as ourselves... many Xbox owners will call it kiddy and gay.

Your sterotyping an XBox fan. I could sterotype a GameCube fan who "only wants to play Mario and Pikmin", but that's not how they are. I can sterotype a PS2 fan as being "someone who has only heard of Grand Theft Auto and Madden" (which happens to be how all the kids in my school are) but it's just not true. Rare is excellent at FPS games. Where do FPS games sell, in America or Japan? In America. What console has sold more in America, the XBox or GameCube? The XBox. So this was a good move by Rare, as developing for both consoles are very similar.

Seems like most of you are just jealous :D

I own GTA3 for the PS2... I love the game but I went up to a couple of friends and they didn't know what MGS, FF, or Zelda was... But when I said GTA3... They quickly replied by saying, "Yes!... "That's the only game I own."

See what I mean?

Also, I think true Xbox gamers are smart... matrix is on that list. But many people that I go to school with just bought an Xbox and bought Halo... He then accused me, the only GC owner, a kid for buying a gamecube... What the hell is up with that!? I own all 3 consoles... I am sorry but I a gamer and not a dumbass non-gamer like you who will just go buy an Xbox just for one game...

After that he sold his Xbox... i told him not to sell it... I told him many great games will be coming out.... games like Blinx, TJ&EIII, Shenmue 2... he called all those games gay and kiddy... I don't know onw GC owner who thinks that.... I also don't know one Xbox owner who doesn't think that.

As for my CT party, I use Crono. Frog, and Magus.

Why do you think I am jealous...? I own an Xbox. I am only very pissed. Pissed that the matter of fact that rare threw down a great franchise which I have loved for the past 6 years. Wouldn't you? PS2 offers me GTA3 and GTA Vice City and a whole mess of fantastic racing games, Chris. That's why I am getting one. All GCN has to offer is Burnout, which is an awesome game. But I want more.

What Nintendo does best is bring awesome exclusives to their console. I think every other 3rd party sucks... Most of them... Not all of them. I buy consoles for exclusives. I don't own one 3rd party game on a console except a few PC titles.

There were 3 stages you people went though.

1st- Being that these were only rumors and the Rare was an awsome company..No matter what.

2nd- loseing some faith in the fact that Rare would stay xclusive and starting to threaten not to purchase any more of "Rare's" games if they went.

3rd- Fully bashing the company and nit-picking any reason to say they are a horrible company.

What are you people talking about? HAS THIS COMAPNY EVER PUT A BIT OF A GLIMMER OF HAPPENESS IN YOUR GAMMING LIFE? THEN BE HAPPY. Remember what Rare was..not what it may become.

If they do well...Then I applaud them. If they do poorly..Then I wish them well. If they ever wish to return to Nintendo then keep the light buring at their 2nd party position.
