It seems like everytime I get a new graphics card something bigger and badder comes out to make mine look like barey's singlongs. I think the main thing I hate about comps is that everything outdates sometimes and can't handle newer games out there. Does this get on alot of peoples nerves or it just me!?!

i like running old games on my ultimate uber graphics card and bragging to people how i can use the full potential of command and conquer: red alert.

i like my G5 Mac. :ohyeah: the graphics rock, but the selection of games is mediocre at best... :(
As long as it plays, it's good enough for me. I hate people who brag about their computers. They talk about it like High School Freshman talk about sex and fart jokes.
Fart jokes are still funny though... :ha:

Quiet you! You're using a G5 for all the wrong reasons!
I need a G5 for my video editing, DVD authoring, music composing, and motion graphing, but they're too expensive. I bet you hardly even do anything related on that Generation 5 but Photoshop things.

g5 is only good for video editing, dvd authoring, music composing, motion graphing, and the sort.
gaming sucks on the beast.

Gaming would suck on any Mac unless you use the Windows emulator Apple designed for it.

Even though something "bigger and badder" comes out, most of the time, they're moot and a waste of money. You really do not need that extra power as long as you have something that's decent. Updating once a year will keep you on top of most things.. Which isn't very expensive.

That's still too much. You should update your hardware every 5 years. Because that's just about as long as a console's life span before it is upgraded.

I get a new graphics card every year, and add RAM/Memory off and on.. Then, I generally get a new computer every 3 years. I've decided since getting my computer last year though that I'd just continuously upgrade it.
Next year I'm going all out with upgrading since I'm moving out and it'll be my last change.. Was going to buy an Alienware but I can get the same thing if not better for a cheaper price.

My graphic card was numero uno about 6 years ago. I'm not into pc games, all I got is Quake 3, and a shitty computer. I play starcraft and stuff, wondering if it'll handle Warcraft 3, looks great.
