I honestly predicted this all along, I thought that at the most he would get 5 golds, because he is still very young and has a long way to go.

He just got Gold in the 200m Butterfly. Stephen Parry of England took Bronze.

Phelps is swimming in way too many events. He has probably the hardest schedule of any Olympic athelete this year. Thorpe knows what he's doing, only swimming in his best events, and that's why he is winning golds and is the best swimmer in the world. Too bad he's a total asshole.

Thorpe called Phelps 'stupid'.

In a way I think he is right. Phelps is just too young to be swimming as much as he is. In 4 years I think he will totally dominate though.

I can't wait for the atheltics to start, everything else, maybe besides boxing and soccer, is just very very boring at the Olympics.
