Some people just love one system and they'll defend(and bash other systems) it 24/7. Last year I was a big basher on the ps2, but look how time cures maturity so now I have one. Being immature and not seeing the big picture has alot to do with people making statments like:"Xbox sucks!!!!!", heh I even heard this one on the chatrooms," Playstation 2 takes it up the ass!!!!!"

The first time I picked up a controller for X-Box, the damned thing is turned inward towards the top... that's like trying to stear a bicycle with a rod instead of a wheel. I can't imagine playing more than an hour at a time with that damned thing. When I played Halo, it was fun, and while I got used to the controls I couldn't get used to the controller.

At least it's not carpal tunnel city like the Dreamcast controller.

True, but it's the same for all systems. The thing that helps Microsoft is the system attachment rate, or how many games or sold per console. The XBox has the highest attachment rate out of any console in history for it's timeframe (not sure about total....... although I think that may be the case) at over 4.0 games being sold per system sold. Not too shabby.

Because I'm an employee of GameStop, I can have access to Microsoft's retail site (www.microsoft.com/retail/xbox). From there, I take quizes on games / hardware and earn points. I then used those points to win games, and all I had to do was pay for shipping. So I got Amped, Bloodwake, Fuzion Frenzy, NBA Inside Drive 2002 (which I'm turning into work), and NFL Fever 2002 (which I'm also turning into work). 6 games for $31.75, not bad at all. Fuzion Frenzy is actually a very good party game, as long as you have people to play against. And Wreckless I got from Jerchel from splitting up his layout for PS2Substance awhile ago, it was the second game I owned. Thanks again, Jerchel (if you're ever gonna be here) :D

People think you NEED Windows on your computer, people think you NEED Internet Explorer without giving anyone else a chance ever. It's another company that should have kept out of the business, but this time around we've got a new strategy: Cash.

Microsoft has the kind of cash to buy out Nintendo and Sony's video game division without thinking twice if they wanted to... and that doesn't make them a competitor that makes them a bully. PC users didnt' stand for that shit and neither should Console Gamers.

X-Box is all kinds of wrong for home console gaming. The average fanboy or gamer won't care as to why or why not, but if they buy an X-Box for the specs alone they will be disappointed with the games. Like I've said in the past there is a single title I can get for X-Box that I can't get for other consoles and that's Halo. It would be stupid of me to spend $200 to get to play that... so I'll just wait for the PC version and run it better, faster, and more improved than the X-Box counterpart.

There isn't a thing X-Box can do that my PC can't do better. I had a version of AdAware on my PC, and due to it not being up-to-date, it messed up my Internet Explorer. Because of that, I used Netscape and occasionaly Opera and Mozilla for about two monthes. Yes, it's very large. But it's not meant to be portable - that's why I have a GameBoy Advance. I'd rather have a large system with a built-in hard drive than buy memory cards, and a built-in ethernet port than have to purchase an add-on. Same with four controller ports, than have to purchase a multitap.

I won't buy one, and I know 100 others on this board alone that won't either. Just because one or two people insist its the greatest doesn't mean that it is.

They have more third party support than the N64, but it's steadily declining. Not only that, but Microsoft does have more third party support. Microsoft doesn't even release their own numbers. A third party, that tracks sales for all systems and games, is where they get their numbers from. Nintendo, on the other hand, releases their own numbers - and Nintendo and Sony have been known to substitute the number of systems shipped as systems sold. And as I told somebody else, that's like someone saying "The XBox has outsold the GameCube in North America" and another person stating "But we didn't add Mexico/Canada's numbers!". Britian = largest gaming area in Europe. Plus XBox was doing very, very well in France and Germany, amonst a couple others.

I have an XBox and a PS2 right now. I actually went into my sisters room to watch a DVD tonight because I didn't feel like hooking up my PS2. That's sad...I seriously haven't seen a game worth playing on the PS2 in quite some time.

I'm probably going to get a GCN this summer, then I'll have all 3, and it won't matter.

The size of the XBox shouldn't be used in a bad way, who would take it on the road? I like it being big, it feels stury (unlike the PS2 which almost feels like cardboard).

Everything in this thread is pure opinion...XBox has more games that I want, they are coming out with more games that I want (unless GCN gets Shenmue III...argh), and I'll probably play it the most. On the other hand, you guys might continue to bash the Xbox for no reason and play your PS2's and GCN's, while I play my XBox without bashing any of the systems...because I'm not a hella-fanboy.

oh yeah, , i still havent heard all your resons why x-box suxks beside the fact that it doesnt have any exlusive games and that it is made by and evil corporation bent on world domination.

ill give you all the reasons its better than the rest.

1. You get 2 free games with purchase
2. Who the fuck cares if a game is exlusive as long as its good
3. X-box live is the shit(dont give me shit about this one, ive heard it all)
4. It comes with ALOT of internal memory so you done have to use memory card if you dont wanna buy them.
5. You can make your own sound tracks if ya dont wanna lissen to the video game crap.
6.It has 4 controler ports, so does nintendo, so there both good in that aspect.
7.If you take the green x out of the middle you can use it as a cup holder.
8.The controlers are cool, i like the buttons on the bottom way better than the buttons on the side.(L&R buttons)
9. Microsoft bought rare, and rare is the shit.
10. Its so fucking cool, you can like put a sleep timer and auto shut off and stuff like that. You can even make evertything be in different languages, its a riot!
